Panic attacks and anxiety are often misunderstood, people often play it down and misconstrue it for the natural anxiety we all get when for example; we are late for something or trying to find somewhere new or when we’re trying to find something with no time to spare.
No this isn’t that type of anxiety, this is the type where it takes your breathe away and you feel paralysed by it.
It makes you feel light headed and as if your on the outside of your own body looking in, it makes you feel helpless and in danger.
Panic attacks often mimic heart attacks and although not dangerous are seriously scary and alarming for the person experiencing it and it takes a very long time to ‘come down’ from them.
There is no worse feeling than the ‘out of control feeling’ of your own body that panic attacks bring. ????. We are proud of you for making it through.
